I teach 2nd grade and was wondering if anyone had a year- long plan outline for teaching the common core strategies that you could share. I know that you adjust after you assess the kids, but I would love to have help with a general outline.
Year long plan for CAFE strategies

Have you heard or read about the Sisters’ rule of 6-5-4-3? Basically, it means the first 6 comprehesion strategies, the first 5 accuracy, first 4 fluency and first 3 vocabulary strategies are the ones everyone needs, so that narrows down a bit which ones to be sure to start with. Just keep in mind that your different strategy groups and individuals will need different lessons after you assess throughout the year
I’ve also attached a few links that you might want to check out. The first two relate to the common core/CAFE in general. The last link is a CAFE menu with CC correlations that may also help.
